Establishing a web presence

You will need to buy a domain name (e.g. www.yourcompany.co.uk), and a hosting service - someone to rent you some webspace, and to keep your site available to visitors. We can discuss with you what kind of service you might need - it will depend on what you want to do with your site, and what you expect your visitors to do.

You will need someone to create the site for you; obviously, we'd like that to be us. You can do this yourself, but if you are a beginner (or have other things to do), it might look better - and work better - if you use professional services. To create the site, we would need to discuss with you what you want, what ideas you have for the design and where the words and pictures for your site would come from.

You will need someone to make the site available to visitors (to upload it), and you will need to register with search engines, so that potential clients can find you. We can help you with all these things.
