Focus: fonts
There are many different fonts available, and each will have its own character. Some appear more modern, others are classic. Fonts can be used in bold or italic to add focus.
There are a few basic rules about font selection:
- not everyone will have the fancy font you've found on the net - a different one will be selected for them by their browser, which may mean your site looks different for different people.
- some fonts are difficult to read on screen. Although serif fonts (such as Times Roman) are classically chosen for ease of reading in print, they are not easy to read on screen, where sans-serif fonts work better.
- fonts should be consistent throughout the site, and not too many fonts used. Changing fonts can distract the visitor from your carefully crafted content, and can look unprofessional.
We will aim to replicate fonts used in your existing marketing material, both for images and text.
